Moderate hike: 6 mi.\, 1400 ft. elevation gain.\n\nThis hike\, a bit shorter than some of our hikes\, follows the Appalachian Trail south of Manassas Gap\, where the AT crosses under I-66 near Marshall\, VA. The hike is mostly in woods\, while the Trumbo Hollow meadow offers long views from open fields.
