SUMMARY:Read to a Dog!
LOCATION:Quincie Douglas Library\, Children's Area
DESCRIPTION:Family\, Kids (6-8 years)\, Preschoolers (3-5 years)\, Tweens (9-13 years). Read to a dog gives children the chance to read to a non-judgmental listener\, one who will accept the story exactly as they read it. For many children\, this allows them a rare chance to experience stress free reading. Being able to relax and have fun reading increases motivation to read\, which is an essential element in becoming a successful reader.\n\nChildren come to the library and select a book to read to a furry friend. \nhttps://onejoy.io/event/98240
