About this event

This is an advanced study group dedicated to the rigorous study of Quantum Field Theory. The following prerequisites are assumed: \- Linear Algebra \- Multivariate Calculus \- Ordinary and partial differential equations \- Quantum mechanics\, \- Electromagnetism and Special Relativity\. Our main textbook is Mark Srednicki's "Quantum Field Theory," which is available online: https://web.physics.ucsb.edu/\~mark/ms-qft-DRAFT.pdf We are not going through every chapter sequentially, but instead we are following a "short" path to the standard model, by reading these chapters: 22 -> 24 -> 33..39 -> 42->43 -> 54..58->69->70->87->88->89 For this meeting, please read chapter 33 and solve the two problems.
