At the previous Meetup #55, we introduced the challenges we faced with our initial schema, including increased search hop counts, data duplication, and poor compatibility with AI. We also presented our approach to resolving these issues through Knowledge Graph-style thinking, particularly by turning concepts into nodes. As a sequel to that talk, this session covers what happened after we moved this approach into the implementation phase, along with what we learned along the way. We hope this session sparks discussion with others who are also working on graph modeling for domain-specific data. English Description Most ontology work isn’t modelling—it’s transcription. We’ll build an ontology from unstructured text by hand, then generate the same thing automatically, and finally fix what the generator got wrong in a proper editor. You should still be making every modelling decision, but you shouldn’t still be manually building ontologies from scratch. English Title LLMs Change — Where Should Knowledge Live? Lessons from SBOM and Neo4j English Description Large Language Models are widely used to search, summarize, and generate answers. However, their results can change depending on the model or context, making knowledge difficult to verify and manage. RAG helps connect LLMs with external data, but it does not fully answer a fundamental question: where should knowledge live? SBOM makes software components and their relationships visible. In a similar way, knowledge used by AI should be managed outside the LLM as structured and persistent data. This session introduces a practical approach using Neo4j to manage knowledge, evidence, relationships, and changes. The goal is to keep knowledge verifiable, reusable, and sustainable even as AI models continue to change.
