Meetup: "Takoyaki Night!!" 🐙✨ Why not spend a wonderful evening with us at The DECK, a vibrant coworking space directly connected to Sakaisujihonmachi Station on the Osaka Metro? This meetup is designed for local residents and international guests living in or visiting Osaka to come together and connect. We are truly looking forward to welcoming you! *** ■ Date & Time • Date: Tuesday, September 8, 2026 • Time: 18:00 – 20:00 *** ■ Event Highlights What is Takoyaki? 🐙 Takoyaki is one of Japan’s most famous and beloved street foods, originally born right here in Osaka! They are delicious, bite-sized savory balls made from a wheat flour-based batter. Inside each ball, you will usually find a small piece of tako (octopus), along with green onions, pickled ginger, and crunchy tempura scraps (tenkasu). It is cooked in a special molded pan to get its perfect round shape. Finally, it is topped with a rich, savory Takoyaki sauce (similar to Worcestershire sauce but sweeter), Japanese mayonnaise, dried seaweed powder (aonori), and dancing bonito flakes (katsuobushi). It is crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and incredibly fun to make together! Our staff will be cooking, but you can also try grilling them yourself!
