As the flagship event of the Hong Kong Drum Festival, “MAJESTIC DRUMS” captivates audiences with pulsating rhythms and boundless energy. This concert highlights the acclaimed Orang Orang Drum Theatre returning from their highly praised performances in “One Beat, One World: Connecting through the Drum” in 2024, delivering a showcase of the Southeast Asian country’s rich multicultural heritage. The language of the drum knows no borders. In this concert, audiences will experience the many facets of percussion—from the earthy, folk-inspired Tuyang Sit in the Corner (adapted from Bornean melodies), to the lively Indonesian-inspired Aiyo… Mama!, and the explosive contemporary piece Charge. Classic works such as Flying Dragons and Leaping Tigers and the third movement of Yiu Kwong Chung’s Percussion Concerto seamlessly blend drumming’s majestic power with rich symphonic textures. Beyond international exchange, this programme shines a spotlight on “future drum kings”. Let thunderous drums ignite your passion! 作為香港鼓樂節的年度盛事， 「鼓王群英會」始終以震撼人心的節奏、澎湃的生命力與觀眾共鳴。本場音樂會邀請了來自馬來西亞、在「鼓動心弦 連結世界」系列活動中備受好評的「人人人鼓劇場」擔綱演出，載譽重演多首展現馬來西亞多元文化色彩的激昂曲目。 鼓聲是跨越國界的語言。在本場音樂會中，觀眾將領略到打擊樂的多重面貌：從改編自婆羅洲民謠、充滿土地質感的《我是那個誰》，到以印尼民謠為靈感的《哎喲媽媽》，再到展現當代敲擊力度的《衝》。此外，更有經典的敲擊協奏曲《龍騰虎躍》及由鍾耀光創作的《打擊協奏曲》第三樂章，將鼓樂的磅礴氣勢與樂團的交響織體完美融合。除了國際鼓藝的交流，本場音樂會亦是「未來鼓王」展現鋒芒的舞台。鼓聲激盪，熱血沸騰，在萬鼓齊鳴的震撼中，感受這份聯結世界的節奏力量。
