About this event

Children (Ages 6-12), Children (Birth-Age 5), Families, Teens (Ages 13-18). A film screening of Luca (2021); PG; Fantasy; 1h 35m. Luca is a shy, curious boy eager to see the world beyond his small community on the Italian Riviera. He finds a kindred spirit in Alberto, and the two dream of travelling far and wide together on a Vespa. The only thing holding them back—aside from being children—is the fact that they are both sea monsters forbidden from interacting with the surface world. Fans of The Little Mermaid are sure enjoy this modern approach to familiar themes. Featured actors include Jacob Tremblay, Maya Rudolph, and Jim Gaffigan. Programming at the Boston Public Library is funded through private support. To learn more about supporting the Library, please visit the Boston Public Library Fund athttps://bplfund.org. Accessibility Notice: We strive to make our events accessible. To request a disability accommodation and/or language services, contact the department listed in the "Contact Info" pane on the right.
