About this event

Adults. Beat the heat with your baby at this all-new film program for caregivers! Join us on Wednesday mornings in August for caregiver-focused screenings of classic comedies. Meet and mingle with other caregivers and watch a movie for grown-ups in a stress-free setting. Babies are welcome, so expect dim lighting, low volume, and a welcoming environment. Today's Film: Back to the Future A small-town California teenager is accidentally transported back to the 1950s in a time-travelling DeLorean, where he must make his high school-aged parents fall in love before he ceases to exist. Watch the trailer here. Rating: G Runtime: 116 min What to expect: Babies are welcome, but this program is for their grown-ups so the film selections are geared towards adults. Although we will not turn anyone away, this is not a great fit for a squirmy toddler.Stroller parking will be available.Interruptions are natural and expected! Should your baby cry, you'll be in non-judgmental company. Lights will be kept low for easy feeding and changing.Sound will be significantly reduced for little ears, but closed captioning will be on so you don't miss a thing! Accessibility Information VPL is committed to making our programs accessible for all. If you have an access need that we have not addressed here, please email us at [email protected]. • Caregivers may breast or bottle-feed babies anywhere, anytime • Participants may leave the room at any time. • Participants are welcome to move or take breaks as needed. For more information on physical access, view the Accessibility information on the Central Library page.
