About this event

All Adults. A community meeting and information session about email self-defense by the Free Software Foundation The Free Software Foundation (FSF) is a nonprofit with a worldwide mission to promote computer user freedom. This information session will cover what FSF does, how you can be a member, and also offer a free hands-on workshop where participants learn to use GPG for email encryption. By the end of the meeting, you will not only be more familiar with FSF, but you will also be able to send encrypted email to friends and family and help us help you teach others the skill of email self-defense. To learn more about the Free Software Foundation, visit www.fsf.org. Accessibility Notice: We strive to make our events accessible. To request a disability accommodation and/or language services, contact the department listed in the "Contact Info" pane on the right. Please allow at least two weeks to arrange accommodation. Programming at the Boston Public Library is funded through private support. To learn more about supporting the Library, please visit the Boston Public Library Fund's website.
