Monthly Meetup - Ayahuasca

About this event

SEPTEMBER TOPIC: My Shipibo Ayahuasca Plant Medicine Retreat Join us for a presentation by Harry Fox about his experience at an Ayahuasca Plant Medicine Retreat near Iquitos, Peru, led by a Shipibo curandera. The presentation will cover the basics of what ayahuasca is and the plant medicines Harry received during his time in the jungle. He will also explore Shipibo cosmology, including the icaros (sacred chants), Kené textile art, the tradition of master plant teachers, plant dietas, and more. This presentation goes well beyond the basics of ayahuasca to explore how the Shipibo people see the universe, as expressed in their art, healing treatments, and spiritual ceremonies.
