For its Partner Programme with the Hong Kong Performing Arts Expo 2026, the orchestra is presenting a spectacular showcase of Hong Kong’s leading musical talents, starting with the world première of in-demand composer Charles Kwong’s Sheng Concerto “Horizons” – a work written for veteran Sheng master Loo Sze-wang, exploring what lies beyond human perception and existence. Hailed as Hong Kong’s foremost string quartet, the Cong Quartet will then take centre stage in Benjamin Lees’ sparkling Concerto for String Quartet and Orchestra, before Music Director Emeritus Yip Wing-sie leads the orchestra in an exhilarating conclusion of Dvořák’s well-loved Symphony No 8.

桂冠音樂總監/指揮 葉詠詩 笙 盧思泓（駐團藝術家2012-2013） Cong四重奏 戚耀庭（小提琴） 石渡彩馨（小提琴） 黃立恆（中提琴） 鄭恩浩（大提琴） 作曲家 鄺展維（駐團藝術家 2020-2022） 節目 鄺展維 笙協奏曲《彼時彼方》（世界首演） 由香港小交響樂團委約，費用由香港作曲家及作詞家協會轄下的「CASH音樂基金」贊助 李斯 弦樂四重奏及樂隊協奏曲（1964）（香港首演） 德伏扎克 G大調第八交響曲，作品88 香港小交響樂團一直透過樂團這獨特的聲音調色板，為生命充滿百般的故事與情感著色。音樂會作為今年香港演藝博覽伙伴節目之一，特地以當紅作曲家鄺展維為星級笙演奏家盧思泓打造的笙協奏曲《彼時彼方》揭開序幕。曾先後擔任駐團藝術家的盧思泓與鄺展維，在藝術領域上不但不斷開拓創新，二人亦多次合作。《彼時彼方》以「地平線」為創作靈感，思考人類感知所能觸及的邊界，以及那些即使沒有我們存在，依然運行於宇宙之中的世界與時代，引領觀眾穿梭於已知與未知之間。 成立逾十年、足跡遍及多個國際音樂殿堂，並獲譽為「香港首屈一指的弦樂四重奏」的Cong四重奏，將首度與香港小交響樂團合作，演繹李斯的「弦樂四重奏及樂隊協奏曲」，奏響豐厚的色彩層次與緊密的音樂對話。在桂冠音樂總監葉詠詩的帶領下，音樂會最後以德伏扎克充滿波希米亞風情的第八交響曲作結，以燦爛明朗的旋律和生機盎然的樂思，再次彰顯香港音樂界的非凡實力。
