🌳🦌🏞️🌺🪻🌻 Sunday Funday hike to the dam waterfall💦

About this event

Brown Mountain Dam Waterfall (https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/brown-mountain-dam-waterfall?u=i&sh=jaby7g). Although it's roughly 8 miles, the hike is relatively easy with plenty of shade and little elevation gain. There will be some shallow stream crossings, shaded woods, sometimes a deer and of course, a lovely dam waterfall. 😀 • TIMING: Roughly 4.0 hours roundtrip for the hike including breaks. We generally head out 15- 20 minutes after the official start time. Dinner following is optional and not included in the official time. • DISTANCE: \~8 miles. Mostly flat • ELEVATION: 672 ft • MEETING LOCATION: Meet in parking lot. Look for the BIG group of people. • PARKING: Free Parking in the lot, no permit required. • RESTROOMS: No restrooms other than a primitive restroom 2 miles in along the route (BYO-TP!) (So at mile 2 and mile 6). • DOGS: Friendly dogs on leash ok. • CELL RECEPTION: There is limited cell reception. If you try to reach out on the app near the start time we may not be able to respond. • WHAT TO BRING: BRING 3 LITERS OF WATER, A HAT, SUNSCREEN, COMFORTABLE SHOES, SNACKS, ELECTROLYTES, WATER SHOES (optional).
