Speaker: Jane Roder How to stay calm, communicate effectively and keep your power when people push your buttons. Who has the power to turn you into someone you don’t particularly like? We all know that feeling. Someone pushes exactly the right button and suddenly we’re angry, defensive, frustrated and often say things we later regret. But when someone else’s behaviour determines our behaviour, who is really in control? In this engaging, insightful and thought-provoking presentation, Jane Roder explores why certain people trigger us, why we can so easily get pulled into other people’s anger, negativity or drama—and, most importantly, how to stop getting pulled in. Jane will explores practical ways to stay calm under pressure, communicate with difficult personalities, recognise provocative or manipulative behaviour within yourself and others and establish healthier boundaries. And to know when to engage and when to walk away. Because dealing with difficult people isn’t about learning how to control them. It’s about learning how to stay in control of you. About the speaker: Jane Roder is an author, relationship and human behaviour specialist, counsellor, coach and educator with decades of experience helping individuals and couples better understand themselves, their relationships and the often-complex behaviour of the people around them. She is the author of What We Aren’t Told About Sex and four other books, and has worked as a relationship and sexuality educator, counsellor, coach, workshop facilitator and speaker. This is a very friendly purposeful group. Hope to see you there, Love & happiness, Jane Roder www.janeroder.com (http://www.janeroder.com/) 0411 300 627
