Cultivating Resilience Buddhist teachings offer practical methods for developing resilience in the face of life’s difficulties. By learning to calm the mind and open the heart, we can meet challenges with greater wisdom, patience, and compassion. This course explores timeless practices that strengthen inner stability while nurturing the good heart—the foundation for a meaningful and compassionate life. Practical exercises in lojong (mind training), along with guidance on cultivating bodhicitta and deepening our understanding of emptiness, will be included. Through meditation, reflection, and discussion, participants will learn practical methods for calming the mind, strengthening resilience, and opening the heart to ourselves and others. Open to all levels, but some background in Buddhism helpful. Amy Miller has been teaching Buddhism and meditation for over 30 years. The Lamrim is the topic she is most passionate about guiding students in. Her approach is especially supportive for those navigating emotional challenges and for practitioners seeking to integrate wisdom and compassion more fully into everyday life.
