Discussion: Sapiens, Neanderthals, and Denisovans
About this event
Following our recent presentation on "The Big Three: Sapiens, Neanderthals, and Denisovans," we will kick off this event with a recap of the presentation. After the recap, we will open the floor for a collaborative group discussion to share questions, comments, and thoughts on the topics covered. We will explore the fascinating dynamics between Homo sapiens, Neanderthals, and Denisovans. How did these three distinct human species interact, interbreed, and share the planet? What cultural, cognitive, and technological exchanges might have occurred? We will also discuss the evolutionary factors that ultimately left Homo sapiens as the last surviving branch of our family tree and what this means for the human experience today.
