About this event

Adults (18+), School Age Children (6-12), Teens (13-17), Younger Adults (18-24). Part 4 of a series of workshops for children and adults, exploring local flora through embroidery and felt collage. This event is part of the Artists in the Library program, hosted by Artist, Sarah Zanchetta. All ages program; children ages 6 to 14 must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver. Registration is required. Space is limited. Note: Each workshop requires separate registration. Registered participant spaces are held for 15 minutes after which drop-ins are allowed Meet the Resident: Sarah Zanchetta (she/they) is a queer textile artist and educator whose practice dives into the loss of connection and knowledge of poisonous plants in North America. Zanchetta uses textiles, texts, and hosts community workshops to create intimate works and spaces where we can unfold our curiosities, care and anxieties about what grows beside our feet. She holds a Master of Visual Studies from the University of Toronto (2023) and a BFA from OCAD University (2018).
