A former shooter, now working as a factory guard, finds out his colleagues are helping the thieves. Upset but unable to stop them, he hides his anger—until the son of the woman he loves gets dragged into the crime. Driven to his limit, he is finally forced to pick up his gun again. Director Gao Peng first distinguished himself with the thriller short The Scar (33′) from Disturbed Souls on Campus, showing his great skill at building suspense. He brings that same strength to his first feature-length film, A Long Shot, keeping his steady storytelling style and unique visuals.
