About this event

Due to technical issues with the Zoom link in the August session, I wanted to extend the conversation to those who weren't able to take part the first time. (If you were present at the lsat one, you are most welcome to join in too.) We got a lot of engagement and feedback during the first session, which tells me this is a topic close to your heart. So let's make room for a deeper conversation. Some ideas to explore: • Belonging somewhere + nowhere • Starting over in a new environment • Making friends in a new country • Losing our support network • Losing momentum in our career • Feeling conflicted when we go back to our home country • Changing career after 40 / having kids • Wondering if we made the wrong decision • Losing the pay / prestige we used to enjoy • Helping our kids fit into a different education system • Adapting to a new language, culture, accent, and others' perceptions This is a supportive and non-judgmental space to share experiences, exchange useful resources, listen with empathy, and talk about the things only migrant women will understand and relate to. COMMUNITY SAFETY GUIDELINES: • What is shared in the room stays in the room. • We are responsible for the energy we bring. • Be careful about oversharing. • This is not a therapy session. I am not a professional counsellor or psychologist. • Disclosure: I am a trauma-informed coach and certified root-cause therapy practitioner who supports introverted women leaders at the career crossroads deciding whether to stay or go.
