Fit for Free's Decide your Distance Hike - 1,2 or 3 miles

About this event

Looking to start a new fitness routine? Prefer the outdoors to the gym? If so, we have the perfect evening walk for you. We’ll meet twice per month at the tennis courts in Memorial Park, Lower Makefield Township (Yardley), PA. You can choose to join us for a one-mile loop around this unique park or continue for a second mile through an attractive local neighborhood. If you are feeling extra ambitious, you can stick with us for a third lap around Memorial Park – this time in reverse. We will return to the tennis courts after each lap, so it’s your choice – you can walk a total of 1, 2 or 3+ miles – whatever is best for you! The walk will be primarily on flat, paved trails or on sidewalks. There may be a few times where we walk through very short stretches of grass. The plan is to walk at an easy, social pace, with the possibility of increasing the pace over the course of the summer. We look forward to seeing you and working together towards our health and fitness goals! Location We will meet at the Tennis Courts in Memorial Park, Lower Makefield Township (Yardley), PA. Notes Advance Registration is required on Meetup or the AMC Website. All participants will need to agree to and sign the AMC legal waiver sheet prior to joining the walk. Please note: In order to comply with Pennsylvania Youth Protection Laws, all children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by their parent(s) or legal guardian. This policy applies for all events offered by the Delaware Valley Chapter as well as any other Chapter events within the state of Pennsylvania.
