Hi smiley friends! Let’s go for an easy morning 5.6 miles walk/hike together in Rock Creek Park! TRAILS: Southern Loop via Western Ridge Trail We will follow this suggested route from alltrails.com https://www.alltrails.com/explore/trail/us/washington-dc/western-ridge-trail-rock-creek-valley-trail MEET UP LOCATION: We will meet at 9:30am and begin our hike at Rock Creek Park Nature Center & Planetarium (https://www.nps.gov/rocr/planyourvisit/nature-center-and-planetarium.htm) Address: 5200 Glover Rd NW, Washington, DC 20015 FEES & PARKING: Park entrance is free and there is free parking lot at the meetup location. PETS: Dogs are allowed on the trails, but must be on leash. More park info https://www.nps.gov/rocr/index.htm Please note: This group has a Strict No-Show Policy. If you are on the Going list but cannot attend, please change your RSVP no later than 8 PM the night before.
