One of our most loved and iconic walks: ocean air, wide horizons, lively park energy, and sunset light — this South Pointe loop never disappoints. Starting with this week, we are introducing a new "Photo Challenge Playground" \- a fun creative exercises to train our eyes\. See details below THE WALK STRUCTURE • 6:00 – 6:15 PM – Meet & Greet. We’ll gather at the entrance of former Burger King at 5th & Lenox (south west corner). Say hello, settle in, and get ready to walk. • 6:15 – 7:00 PM – Beach Walk to the Pier. We’ll head toward the beach and follow the beachwalk all the way to South Pointe Pier, taking our time to photograph ocean views, textures, movement, and changing light. We’ll pause at the pier to explore and shoot. • 7:15 PM – 8:15 PM South Pointe Park & Lighthouse. From the pier, we’ll continue through South Pointe Park toward the lighthouse. We’ll hang out there for a while — a lively spot with acrobats, performers, crowds, and wide-open views, perfect for sunset shots and people-watching. • After Sunset – Seawall Stroll & Optional Bite. As the light softens, we’ll stroll back along the seawall toward 5th & Lenox. For those who’d like, we can finish with food, conversation, and relaxed sharing. Find either one along the way — bonus if you capture both in the same frame! • Challenge 2 — Photo Sprint: One Spot, Five Ways. At the pier: 5 minutes, 5 completely different photographs, without moving away from your spot. Change your angle, perspective, subject, or framing. Surprise yourself! • Challenge 3 — Technique of the Day: Follow the Light. Before pressing the shutter, pause and notice what the light is doing. What is it revealing? What is hiding in the shadows? Let the light guide your eye. • Challenge 4 — The Final Question: Which photo surprised you today? Not necessarily your best shot — just something unexpected! Share it at the end of our walk or later in our photo album or chat. And of course, everything is optional! Come to play, experiment, learn, or simply walk and socialize. No pressure!
