What Can We Learn From "The Enemies Project"?
About this event
Please join us Thursday, October 8, at 7 PM Eastern time, as we discuss "The Enemies Project," a fascinating program in which "Peacemaker" Larry Rosen brings people who see each other as enemies into direct, face-to-face conversation. The objective is not to debate or to force agreement, but to help each achieve a full, fair understanding of the other and to discover the human being in each other. https://www.enemiesproject.org Larry has already filmed about a dozen episodes, bringing together, for example, a Proud Boy and a Progressive; a White cop and a Black protester; a gay man and a preacher; a Palestinian and a Jew; a transgender woman and a MAGA gender-fundamentalist. The results are amazing. I met Larry at the Braver Angels convention in Philadelphia in late June and attended his presentation. I am very impressed with what he is doing. To prepare for the meetup, please watch at least one of the episodes athttps://www.enemiesproject.orghttps://www.enemiesproject.org. Also, you might want to view one or more of the videos linked at the bottom of this page: https://www.enemiesproject.org/thehost which includes Larry's TEDx talk. As Larry writes: "Our important and contentious issues—from nuclear proliferation to climate change to global disease to mass migration to AI to spiritual longing—none of them gets solved when we are at psychological war. All of them get solved when we find each other again." Let's do it! Bill
