About this event

Tech Week Singapore is on, and the whole city is talking about where AI goes next. We want to spend an evening on one of the models actually changing how it gets built. Two weeks ago, TypeSafe AI released Jev, a model that can't write a sentence. Ask it something and it won't explain itself, it won't reason out loud. It just gives you a decision. Within 24 hours it became the fastest-adopted model in Vercel AI Gateway's history. What makes it different is that it doesn't talk. Every AI model you've used until now belongs to the same family. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, they all write. You give them a problem, they think out loud, and somewhere in that paragraph is your answer. Ask Jev something and it won't explain itself. It returns a decision with a probability attached, and nothing else. Where that matters is inside the software you're already building. Any agent makes dozens of small decisions that never needed prose. Which tool to call next. Whether a command is safe to run. Whether this piece of context is worth keeping. Whether the job is done. Those decisions are currently being made by models built for conversation, at conversation prices. This session is a practical look at whether you should be using it. Joel will walk through where Jev fits in a real stack, what it costs to run, the kinds of teams it makes sense for, and the places it has no business going anywhere near. What You'll Take Away • What Jev actually is, and why a model that gives up writing gets something in return • Where it sits alongside the models you already use, and where it doesn't belong • Which jobs in your stack it's suited to • Whether your team is the kind that would benefit, or should wait • Where this fits into how AI gets built over the next year Agenda 6:00 PM — Doors open · Registration 6:10 PM — Welcome by The Agentic AI Club 6:15 PM — Speaker session 6:45 PM till late — Community Mixers Who Should Attend • Product and engineering teams building AI into their software • AI engineers and technical leads working on agentic systems • Founders shipping AI-first products, where inference cost and latency matter • Enterprise innovation and digital transformation leads • Anyone following what's happening in agentic AI right now About The Agentic AI Club A space for people shaping how AI gets built and shipped. We bring together engineers, founders, operators, and ecosystem leaders working at the frontlines of agentic AI in Singapore.
