About this event

"The success of your presentation will be judged not by the knowledge you send, but by what the listener receives." - Lilly Walters Taylor's Toastmasters Club (TTMC) is part of a global organization that helps people build communication and leadership skills. We give members a supportive space to practice speeches, receive feedback, and grow with peers who share the same goal. Why join TTMC • Improve your public speaking. Get regular practice in front of a supportive audience. Learn to structure a speech, choose effective language, and deliver with confidence. • Develop leadership skills. Take on real roles in the club, such as meeting facilitator or speech evaluator, and join workshops and training focused on leadership. • Build confidence. Each speech makes the next one easier. You will also learn to handle impromptu questions calmly. • Expand your network. Meet students, alumni and professionals across Taylor's and the wider Toastmasters community, and collaborate on club projects and events. • Learn new skills. Write stronger speeches, improve your presentation skills, and become a more effective communicator. • Access global resources. Toastmasters International provides structured learning paths and tools for both communication and leadership. • Join a supportive community. Everyone here is working on the same skills, so you get honest feedback in a low-pressure setting. • Enjoy the process. Our meetings are practical and lively. Meeting highlights 1. Table Topics®: A long-standing Toastmasters tradition that trains you to organize your thoughts quickly and respond to an impromptu question or topic. 2. Project speeches: Prepared speeches delivered by our members. 3. Evaluations: The core of the Toastmasters learning model. You observe fellow members' speeches and leadership roles and give feedback, and they do the same for you.
