About this event

The Centre for Writing and Scholarly Communication (CWSC) invites current graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to an on-campus day of dedicated, distraction-free writing time. There’s nothing more productive than writing with community. If you’ve been putting off a writing project, or just need focused time to make real progress, this retreat is for you. Whether you’re working on a dissertation chapter, research article, or a research proposal, this in-person retreat will help you move that project forward. We’ll use the proven Pomodoro method to structure writing sessions, with built-in breaks to rest, reset, and connect with fellow researchers. Light refreshments will be provided. Please bring your own lunch. If the event is fully subscribed, add yourself to the waitlist as spots are likely to open up. Facilitator: Centre for Writing and Scholarly Communication Location: IKBLC, Level 3, Peña Room
