About this event

Adults: 18 and up. Join other aspiring authors this fall for Write at CPL, a series of workshops presented by our partners at Story Studio. This workshop will focus on Publishing 101 and is led by Julia Fine. Come learn about the process of traditional publishing, and what it takes to get your manuscript on shelves. The conversation will include tips for querying literary agents, an overview of the publishing ecosystem and the life of a project once it's sold, and a Q&A session. Julia Fine is the author of the novels Maddalena and the Dark, The Upstairs House, winner of the Chicago Review of Books Award for Fiction, and What Should Be Wild, which was shortlisted for the Bram Stoker Award for Superior First Novel. As Margaux Eliot, she is the author of the novel Honeymoon Stage. She teaches writing in Chicago, where she lives with her family. Due to limited space, registration is required.
