About this event

A Six-Part Online Meetup Series (https://tobiasmayer.uk/edu/ia) Session 3 guest speaker: Sergio Seelochan (https://www.linkedin.com/in/sseelochan/) Examining the Drill What happens to our thinking when AI becomes part of the conversation? — AI promises to remove friction from our work. But not all friction is the same. Some gets in the way of thinking; some may be where the thinking happens. Sergio began using LLMs because writing had always been a bottleneck between the speed of his thoughts and getting them onto the page. What began as a way of making writing easier became something quite different: a conversation in which misunderstanding, disagreement and correction could actually make the thinking harder and sometimes better. This is a practical session rather than a talk about prompting. You'll bring an idea of your own, explore it in conversation with an LLM, and then examine what happened. Together we will try to answer “Where does the thinking go”. In the first session, Alan talked about complementary capabilities. In this session I’m asking “Okay. Let's pick up the drill and see what actually happens.” — For this session you will need a physical pen and paper. Access to an LLM of your choice, but you must have sufficient tokens for conversation that will last around 15mins. — Bio Sergio Seelochan is a lifelong reluctant writer. I’m here because LLM’s allowed me to get an idea out of my head and onto the page faster, or so I thought. Instead, I discovered that LLMs were changing my relationship with writing and thinking itself. I write about Organisational Gravity on Substack, exploring why organisations absorb, reshape and sometimes neutralise attempts to change them. Description of this series Agile didn’t promise speed. It promised sustainability. The original Agile Movement was never about pumping out code at breakneck speed. It was about building robust, adaptable software and creating healthier, human-centred workplaces. It promised autonomy, trust, and environments where people were empowered to make meaningful decisions. For the most part, we missed that mark. Over the last two decades, workers were subjected to micromanagement, rigid tools, and metric tracking. Managers, too, were trapped in a system few truly understood. While delivery pipelines improved, the human potential latent within our organisations remained largely untapped. Read the full description here: Intelligent Agile (https://tobiasmayer.uk/edu/ia). Join us to explore how we can finally fulfil the original promise of Agile—creating exceptional products in truly human-centric environments.
