Community Cultural Ambassador 2026: Rhythmic East Arts Group 'The Echo of Intangible Cultural Heritage' Ancient Voice of Court Music: ICH Music Collection

About this event

In ancient China, repeated southward migrations of people from the Central Plains facilitated the spread of Central Plains music to the Lingnan region, where it merged with local customs and cultures to form a splendid musical lineage. In the mid-twentieth century, Hong Kong welcomed immigrants from various regions to settle and take root, becoming an open city that bears diverse historical and cultural memories and preserves numerous items of intangible cultural heritage to this day. This project presents a community tour themed on Intangible Cultural Heritage music to inherit, revitalise, and promote musical items listed on the Hong Kong Intangible Cultural Heritage Inventory.​

中國古代多次出現中原人士南遷的社會現象，使中原音樂得以傳播至嶺南一帶，並與當地不同風俗與文化融合，孕育出瑰麗多姿的音樂系譜。上世紀中葉的香港接納不同地區的移民在此落地生根，使這座城市成為承載著多元歷史與文化記憶的開放社會，至今仍保存著眾多非物質文化遺產。本計劃將以非遺音樂為主題，在社區展開巡演，旨在承傳、活化與推廣列入香港非物質文化遺產清單的非遺音樂。
