5-6 Mile Suburban Hike - Moderate/Advanced Level with 1100+ ft of Elevation

About this event

We will be doing a fun, quick paced, suburban hike on the streets (sidewalks) & hills of Willow Grove, PA (Upper Moreland Township). We'll get in about 5 - 6 miles of Hills, Hills, Hills for 1100 + ft of elevation gain at a decent pace (apprx. 3.0-3.2 mph). Moderate - Advanced level. This week's hike will focus more on ELEVATION and less on DISTANCE. There will only be a few quick stops and pauses. This hike will be on paved surfaces, so it is OK to wear sneakers or trail running shoes. Definitely recommend hydrating before the hike and bring plenty of water and a snack. Be prepared to walk fast! There are street lights, but you Should bring a flashlight or headlamp as it will be dark by the end of the hike and some of the streetlights are spaced far apart. Friendly Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a static length leash at all times. GUEST and ATTENDANCE POLICY: All attendees must be members of Outdoor Adventure Friends.
