🌍 GROWING UP BETWEEN CULTURES? • This is a relaxed online social for people whose lives have been shaped by more than one culture. • Maybe you grew up in a different country from your parents, moved between countries, have mixed heritage, speak different languages at home and outside it, or simply feel like you don't fit neatly into one cultural box. • This isn't a networking event or a panel discussion. It's simply a chance to meet other people with different cultural experiences and have some interesting conversations. 👋 HOW IT WORKS • We'll start together with some quick introductions before moving into small groups depending on numbers. • You'll be given conversation prompts to help get things going, some are light and fun, while others explore things like culture, identity, home, family and the experiences that have shaped you. • You can skip any question you don't want to answer. The prompts are there to start conversations, not control them, so if your group gets onto an interesting topic, just keep talking. 💬 YOU MIGHT TALK ABOUT • Where feels most like home to you? • What cultures have influenced who you are? • Is there a tradition you'd want to carry forward? • Do you behave differently around family and friends? • What's something from your upbringing you appreciate more now? • Or something completely unrelated - the conversation can go wherever it goes. 🤝 WHO'S IT FOR? • Anyone who feels their life has been influenced by more than one culture. You don't need to identify in any particular way or have an interesting story prepared. • Just come as you are and meet some new people. Different backgrounds. Shared experiences. Real conversations.
