How to Face Adversity | Mindful Tea & Book Club
About this event
How do we respond when life doesn't go as planned? Adversity is an unavoidable part of life. Difficulties may arise in our health, relationships, family, work, or other unexpected situations. While we cannot always control what happens, we can explore how we respond to it. This week, we will begin with a Chan Tea experience, creating a moment to slow down, settle the mind, and be present. We will then have an open English reading and discussion inspired by Buddhist wisdom. Together, we will explore: 🍃 Why does resistance make suffering worse? 🧘 What does acceptance really mean? 🌱 Can adversity become a catalyst for growth? Come with an open mind, enjoy a cup of tea, and explore a different way of facing life's challenges. 🍵 Chan Tea Experience 💬 English Reading & Discussion 🌿 Open to everyone — no previous experience needed 🎟️ Free admission \| Registration required 📅 Sun, Oct 11 ⏰ 3:00–5:00 PM 📍 14F, Siu On Building, 243–245 Des Voeux Road West, Sai Ying Pun, Hong Kong Island 🚇 MTR: Sai Ying Pun Station, Exit B3
