Hike: Dragon's Back to Cape D'Aguilar Difficulty Level: 3.5 out of 5 Distance: 12-17 km (approximate) Time: 5+ hours (approximate) Description and Highlights: Escape the city hustle and embark on a thrilling adventure along the iconic Join us for an adventure that combines two of Hong Kong Island's most spectacular landscapes! We'll begin on the famous Dragon's Back, following its scenic ridgeline with sweeping views of Shek O, Big Wave Bay, and the South China Sea. With beautiful viewpoints, forest paths, and plenty of photo opportunities, it's easy to see why this trail is one of Hong Kong's favorites. The highest point of the hike reaches approximately 396 metres, rewarding us with incredible panoramic views. We'll then continue to Cape D'Aguilar, where dramatic cliffs, hidden sea caves, historic wartime ruins, a century-old lighthouse, and the famous whale skeleton await. This Level 3.5 hike covers approximately 12-17 km and offers a fantastic mix of coastal scenery, history, and exploration. If you're looking for a fun day outdoors and a chance to discover some of Hong Kong's most impressive landscapes, this hike is for you! What to bring: • 2-3 liters of water (no exceptions) • Snacks to eat along the way (sandwich, fruits, nuts, etc) • Hiking shoes with good support • Sunglasses • Headgear (cap/hat) • Sunscreen • Bug Spray • In case of Rain: plan accordingly Toilets: There 2-3 toilets along the way. Stores: It is best to come prepared with food and water. Meeting Point: Shau Kei Wan MTR Station - EXIT A3. Once we all arrive, we'll take bus #9 to Shek O. We'll alight at Big Wave Bay Beach, which is the last stop. Time: 10:00 am (SHARP!) IMPORTANT: Out of respect to the members that arrive on time, we will only be able to wait a maximum of 5 minutes. Should you arrive after 10:05 am, I will no longer be answering phone calls or responding to messages as I need to give my time and attention to those that have arrived on time.
