Pennypack Trail and Bryn Athen Cathedral (6ish Miles)

About this event

This will be a 6ish mile mostly flat loop with a short hill. Our path will take us on the Pennypack Rail Trail and the more scenic Creek Road Trail. We'll then take local streets to get to the Bryn Athen Cathedral and Glencairn "Castle". This is a very scenic walk with multiple photo opportunities along the Pennypack Creek, Bryn Athen Cathedral and Glencairn Museum. Hopefully we'll spot eagles, herons and other wildlife along the way. After the walk, feel free to join me for lunch at All Aboard Cafe. It's just an 8 minute drive from the trail parking lot. We'll meet in the parking area off of Byberry Rd. in Huntingdon Valley. A smelly Port-a-Potty will be available at the trail entrance and at the halfway point. Remember to wear appropriate footwear and dress for the weather. Bring water and a snack. Steady rain cancels event. Update will be posted in Meetup by 7am the day of the event.
