7pm Mindfulness Meditation and Connection Circle w/ Tyler (new location)
About this event
Come join us every Thursday for mindful connection and honest conversation, in a new location :) This week's theme: Most people feel that they are defined by their bodies, thoughts, and emotions, and much of our suffering comes from unconsciously thinking that our negative perceptions and experiences have something to say about who we really are. Is this in fact true, though? The guided meditation will explore this question through the intrinsic qualities of awareness (as distinct from mind), and what it might feel like to shift our locus of identity to it. When we recognize ourselves as the still, silent presence that we always already are, possibilities open up for experiencing even what our minds consider to be "bad" in wholly new ways. Life is busy, and sometimes it’s a lot. These sessions are a chance to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and practice being present with whatever is actually here. They’re also a rare opportunity to connect with others in a warm, nonjudgmental space where you don’t have to perform, impress anyone, or have it all figured out. Whether it’s your first time meditating or you’ve been practicing for years, you’re very welcome here. 📍 Details: • Location: Tyler's House, 2F Google maps location here (https://maps.app.goo.gl/KYSDVV6NjpuS2caf6) • Time: Doors open at 7pm.
