About this event
🌷🍊 Siam Pink Tulip Field & Acid-Less Orange Farm ดูดอกกระเจียวภาคกลาง & สวนส้มเช้ง 📅 Saturday, August 8, 2026 📍 Chachoengsao & Prachin Buri Provinces, Thailand Looking for a unique rainy-season adventure outside Bangkok? Join us for a refreshing language exchange meetup outside Bangkok where we'll explore colorful flower fields, enjoy delicious local food, and experience authentic farm life in Central Thailand. August is one of the best times of the year to visit the countryside. The famous Siam Pink Tulips (Dok Krachiao) are blooming beautifully, while the seasonal acid-less oranges (Som Cheng) are ready for harvest. Both are seasonal attractions that can only be enjoyed for a short period during the rainy season. This meetup offers a wonderful opportunity to discover a lesser-known side of Thailand, meet new Thai and international friends, and enjoy a relaxing day surrounded by nature. *** 🧭 Where Will We Go? 🌷 Suan Phetra Flower Garden We'll begin our colorful day at one of Chachoengsao's newest Instagram-worthy attractions. Suan Phetra is known for its vibrant fields of Dok Krachiao (Siam Pink Tulips) blooming in a variety of colors. The flower fields are open to visitors for only a few months each year, making this a limited seasonal experience. Surrounded by greenery and beautiful landscapes, it's a perfect place for photography, nature walks, and enjoying the fresh countryside atmosphere. ☕ S's House Café After exploring the flower garden, we'll stop for lunch at a cozy café and restaurant nestled among lush greenery. Enjoy good food, refreshing drinks, and a relaxing atmosphere while taking a break before continuing our journey into Prachin Buri Province. 🍊 Acid-Less Orange & Pomelo Farm The highlight of the trip! We'll visit a local farm famous for growing Som Cheng, a traditional Thai acid-less orange known for its naturally sweet flavor and very low acidity. Unlike many citrus fruits, Som Cheng has a mild, refreshing taste that makes it popular among locals during the harvest season. We'll learn about the cultivation process, explore the orchard, and see how the fruits are grown and harvested. Since August is one of the best harvesting periods, we'll also have the chance to taste fresh fruit directly from the farm. In addition to Som Cheng, the farm also grows pomelos and other seasonal fruits, offering a glimpse into the agricultural traditions of the region. 🎁 As a special souvenir, everyone will be able to take home some freshly harvested oranges from the farm. The itinerary may be adjusted depending on weather or local conditions. *** 🚌 Return to Bangkok in the evening. ✨ Come along, make new friends, enjoy the local festival together. 📌 Note: The schedule may be adjusted depending on the situation or weather.
