In this session, we'll explore "Think Beyond Culture" — how to understand cultural differences without jumping to conclusions. We'll first learn what Cultural Intelligence (CQ) is in simple English and Japanese, try it out with real-life case studies, and then move into small-group discussions where everyone can share their ideas. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📋 How It Works ① Welcome Introduce yourself and answer a few simple icebreaker questions: your name and where you live, the language you're learning, and a country you love or want to visit. ② Interactive CQ Mini Lesson Together, we'll learn the basics of Cultural Intelligence (CQ) and its 4 elements through easy English and Japanese. We'll look at everyday case studies — like a quiet colleague in an online meeting, or a late reply to your message — and practice thinking of more than one possible explanation. It's a conversation, not a lecture! ③ Breakout Discussions: "You Are the CQ Detective!" (15 min) Join a small group to share your first impressions, think of other possible explanations, and discuss how you would respond. You're not looking for the right answer — you're looking for more possibilities.
