Why Is IT Never Enough?
About this event
Have you ever finally gotten something you really wanted, only to start thinking about the next thing almost immediately? A better job, a relationship, more money, a nicer home, a healthier body, more recognition. We convince ourselves that once we reach the next milestone, we’ll finally feel satisfied. Then we get there, adjust to it, and move the finish line again. In this session, we’ll look at why it can be so difficult to feel like what we have is enough. We’ll talk about comparison, the pressure to keep improving, and the strange way things we once desperately wanted can become so ordinary that we barely notice them. We’ll also explore why gratitude sometimes feels fake or dismissive, especially when something in our lives genuinely needs to change. Appreciating what is good does not require pretending everything is good. We can want more while still recognizing the life we have already built. You’ll leave with practical ways to: • Notice when you are moving the finish line • Recognize parts of your current life that you once hoped for • Separate healthy ambition from chronic dissatisfaction • Appreciate what is working without ignoring what is not • Create a clearer definition of what “enough” actually means to you If you are tired of believing satisfaction is always waiting somewhere just beyond where you are now, this session is for you.
