The restlessness that drives us from one experience to the next, the sense that something is missing, the exhausting effort to be other than what we are — these are not signs of failure. They are the starting point of Mahāmudrā. This weekend retreat offers an experiential introduction to Mahāmudrā through the First Panchen Lama's Highway of the Conquerors — the root text of the Gelug-Kagyu transmission, which lays out with rare clarity how śamatha and vipaśyanā are not two separate practices but a single movement of mind recognizing itself. Six experiential sessions each day alternate guided meditation with teaching and reflection.
