About this event

Adults (18+), Older Adults, Younger Adults (18-24). At this time of year, many people admire the fall colours but also feel the need to rake and dispose of leaves, cut dead stems, and remove fallen branches. But what if this tidying up negatively affects our gardens and pollinators? While we may not see the bees and butterflies during the fall and winter, they are still around! In this presentation, Dorte Windmuller, a Butterflyway Ranger of the David Suzuki Foundation, will discuss how to maintain and protect wildlife habitat even throughout the colder months, and how “leave the leaves” can help nature come back stronger the next season.
