About this event

School Age Children (6-12). Have fun and collaborate to imagine, design, and construct lightweight, high‑strength 3‑D bridges using supplied K’NEX materials. Then evaluate the structures through controlled load testing using a specialized “Bridge‑Crusher” rig, which reveals each bridge’s performance through its strength‑to‑weight ratio. Through multiple design iterations, participants observe how specific modifications influence real‑world structural strength. Gain an understanding of applied science and engineering principles while building skills in teamwork, creative problem‑solving, and evidence‑based design.
