The Research Series: From Curiosity to Research Question

Teens (Ages 12 to 18). The Research Series: In this hands-on, 4-session workshop series, learn the essential research skills that go beyond the classroom. From forming a strong research question and creating and executing a research plan, to visualizing your results and confidently communicating your work, you’ll learn how to take an idea and turn it into real research. From Curiosity to Research Question: What Should I Actually Study? Have you ever been interested in a topic but had no idea how to turn it into a research project? Learn how to take a big idea, narrow it down, and turn it into a research question that is specific, interesting, original, and actually possible to investigate. We’ll work through examples and challenge weak questions to see what makes a research question truly strong. Designed and presented by teen volunteers with support from the Teen Services Librarian. For middle school and high school age students.
