Kids. Harris County Public Library's Book Buddies is a FREE literacy program that pairs trained teen volunteers (Big Buddies) with children in K-3rd grade (Little Buddies) for 10 weeks to share the joy of reading. More information can be found on our website. The next session for the Spring Branch-Memorial Branch Library will run from September 16 - November 18, 2026. The Buddies will meet on Wednesdays from 4:45 PM to 5:30 PM. Pick up an application for Little Buddies or Big Buddies (teen volunteers) at the front desk of the Spring Branch-Memorial Branch Library!
