About this event

Child (9 - 12), Teen. DISCOVER provides free one-to-one homework help, tutoring, and academic guidance to students in Grades 4 to 12 by connecting them to university and college volunteers, and is partnered with Edmonton Public Library, St. Albert Public Library, and Strathcona County Library. Book online sessions with our mentors any time from Monday to Thursday 4PM to 8PM, Saturdays 9AM to 3PM, and Sundays 10AM to 1PM by visiting https://www.mydiscoverprep.com/ and selecting the subject you are interested in under the ‘Book A Session’ tab! Tutoring sessions are completely free and aim to integrate practical soft skills into student learning. HOW TO REGISTER: Under the ‘Book A Session’ tab, select the subject that you’re seeking tutoring for. Click Book Now and select the timeslot and tutor that works best for you! After completing the intake booking form, you will be sent a confirmation email with the link for the online session." ADDITIONAL SUPPORTS Along with free tutoring, DISCOVER also offers post-secondary preparation help, such as schedule building advice, exploring possible career paths with students, and general mentorship from current university students. Our volunteers come from a wide variety of fields, including medicine, dentistry, law, engineering, pharmacy, education, and more, and are trained to best help students learn how to learn. Students who are interested in receiving the necessary academic support needed to succeed or getting a head start on their post-secondary career can connect with volunteers by booking a session! Parents are furthermore free to book sessions to learn more on how to best support their children’s learning and academic career!
