About this event

Adult, Family. Read a book, touch grass, and get some vitamin D from the sunshine... all at the same time! At Read in the Park, we invite you to come to Callingwood Park any time between 1-4pm, spread out in the park with a good book, enjoy some communal reading, and play some book-related games! You bring: yourself, friends or family (children welcome), a chair or blanket to sit on, water and snacks if desired, a book if you have one in mind. We bring: lots of grassy space, nearby washroom access in the Lois Hole Library, even more books (in case you get bored of the one you brought), and a games tent where we'll run book bingo, trivia, and more every half hour. Registration is not required, but if you register with an email address, you will get advance notification if we have to cancel the event due to extreme weather or air quality. Our backup indoor reading location is the south atrium in the Stanley A. Milner Library.
