About this event

Adults: 18 and up. Do you love strange, creepy and straight-up scary books? Then join our online horror book club led by librarians at Chicago Public Library across the city. This month's read is Bad Cree by Jessica Johns. Mackenzie’s disturbing dreams are starting to creep into real life. Do they have something to do with the untimely death of her sister, Sabrina? When she wakes up one night with a severed crows head in her hands, she decides to return to her rural hometown to seek support from her family. But back home, the dreams only become more intense -- and more dangerous. Books are available to check out at various Chicago Public Library locations. Some titles may also be available to borrow as ebooks or eaudiobooks on the Hoopla and Libby apps. Ask a librarian for more information. Future Oh the Horror! selections: November (final meeting of the year): A Head Full of Ghosts Accessibility Need sign language interpretation or other accessibility assistance for this event? Please call (312) 747-8184 or email [email protected] to request accommodations. Requests must be made at least 14 business days before the event.
