About this event

Adults: 18 and up. “How far would you go to save your country?” That’s the question playwright Erik Gernand invites the audience to ponder in his darkly comedic play, “Prayer Circle.” Kick off National Friends of Libraries Week and enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at this masterful play, complete with cast members performing a scene followed by a Q&A. Hear more about the characters, creative team, and development process with Redtwist’s Executive Artistic Director and “Prayer Circle” director, Dusty Brown, and “Prayer Circle” playwright Erik Gernand, who also serves as Redtwist’s resident playwright. This event is a prelude to Thursday, October 22’s Edgewater Historical Society’s (EHS) Fall Salon Series featuring an inside look at Redtwist Theatre with Dusty Brown at the EHS. The play runs through Sunday, September 20-November 8. Redtwist Theatre is located at 1044 W. Bryn Mawr. This is the first in a series of Friends programs spotlighting Edgewater theatre companies in partnership with the Edgewater Historical Society & Museum and the current Edgewater Storefront Theatres exhibit on display at the Museum, 5358 N. Ashland Ave. This program is a partnership between Friends of the Edgewater Library and the Edgewater Branch Library.
