About this event

Child (6 - 8), Child (9 - 12), Family. This one-hour program teaches essential skills for safe dog interactions and bite prevention. Participants will learn how to recognize key signs of canine body language, understand common reasons for bites, and practice respectful approaches to dogs. The program also aims to build a better understanding of commonly misunderstood animal behaviours and challenge misconceptions that lead to injuries or fatalities. Through increased education and awareness of animal welfare, participants will mitigate unnecessary risks and be empowered to become more compassionate companions and better advocates for animals in their homes and communities. Please note that while we try our best to have our Animal Ambassadors attend programs, we cannot guarantee animal interaction. We can’t predict whether we will have animals available that would benefit from socialization.
