About this event

Adults (Ages 24 to 49), New Adults (Ages 19 to 23), Older Adults (Ages 50+). Unplug from the world of to-do lists and technology. Plug into the empowering and nourishing sources of renewal. Emerge recharged, nourished and supported to meet the days ahead. Yoga practice is an optimal way to renew and restore. It remains one of the last places where we disconnect from texting, social media, and email for an hour or so. We bring the focus of the mind back from the outer world of sensations to our breath, our inner being and our body. In other words, we re-establish the mind/body connection. Class will begin and end with guided breathwork and mindfulness, followed by poses for renewal and revitalization. As we close practice, savasana (relaxation) calms the mind, reduces stress, anxiety and tension, relaxes muscles and aids in digestion. Emerge recharged and nourished to meet our lives anew. No prior experience necessary. This class can be practiced with a mat, blanket or in a chair. Wear comfortable clothing and bring water. Program will be held outsdie, weatehr permiting. Sponsored by the Friends of the Richmond Beach Library. Please register. Reasonable accommodation for people with disabilities is available by request. Email [email protected] at least seven days before the event. Automated closed captioning is always available for online events.
