About this event

What does it mean to create content that still works when users are stressed, overwhelmed, or navigating difficult circumstances? In Trauma-Informed Content: Creating Resilient Experiences, Megan Legawiec introduces a practical framework for designing with safety, trust, choice, control, flexibility, and context in mind. Through real-world examples and a sample stress test, she’ll show how trauma can affect comprehension, decision-making, trust, and task completion, and how content teams can respond. The session also explores how changing social and organizational contexts can affect the assumptions built into our experiences, and how thoughtful governance can help teams keep those experiences resilient over time. You’ll leave with questions, principles, and practical steps you can bring into your work right away. About the speaker: Megan Legawiec is a UX writer and content designer with a passion for crafting inclusive, accessible, and trauma-informed digital experiences. Before transitioning into tech, she spent over a decade teaching secondary social studies, where she honed her skills in communication, empathy, and designing for diverse needs. Today, Megan brings that same human-centered mindset to her work in UX. She shapes content that meets users where they are and builds meaningful connections. Her experience spans startups to enterprise settings, always grounded in clarity, compassion, and inclusion.
