Join Houston Voting Initiative, Register the Future, and HCPL for a screening of Real Women Have Curves and reflect on our shared history, exchange ideas, and engage in thoughtful discussion. There will be pizza, drinks, and more! This film series is presented in partnership with Houston Voting Initiative. About the Movie Real Women Have Curves is a PG-13, Coming-of-Age movie centering a first-generation Mexican-American Immigrant who wants to go away to college but must battle against the views of her parents, who think she should stay at home and provide for the family. As a compromise, she works with her mother in a sewing factory over the summer and learns some important lessons about life, helping her make a decision about her future. Click here to RSVP.
